Teguran yang Terbuka atau Kasih yang Tersembunyi: Berdasarkan Amsal 27:5

Seiring perkembangan zaman, kehidupan manusia semakin kompleks dan penuh dengan berbagai tantangan. Dalam menghadapi tantangan tersebut, penting bagi kita untuk memiliki keterbukaan dalam berkomunikasi dan mengekspresikan perasaan kita.  Amsal 27:5 mengatakan, "lebih baik teguran yang nyata-nyata daripada kasih yang tersembunyi". Ayat ini mengandung dua konsep utama: pentingnya teguran yang terbuka dan bahaya dari kasih yang tersembunyi. Pertama, ayat ini menekankan pentingnya teguran yang terbuka. Teguran disini bukan berarti kritik yang merendahkan atau menyerang secara pribadi, melainkan sebuah kritik yang konstruktif dan ditujukan untuk perbaikan. Teguran yang terbuka menunjukkan bahwa kita peduli terhadap orang lain dan ingin mereka tumbuh dan berkembang. Selain itu, teguran yang terbuka juga menunjukkan kejujuran dan transparansi, dua elemen penting dalam membangun hubungan yang sehat dan kuat. Book Review Eric Daryl Meyer’s book, “Inner Animalities: Theology and the End of the Human” raises the ambiguous question of human animality. He aims to both reveal the flaws of anthropological exceptionalism and show that it does not have to be an integral part of Christian theology. Moreover, in his book, Meyer intends to expand the boundaries of his discussion of human animality to a broader context, namely to reflect upon people’s inability to withstand ecological degradation. In other words, Meyer is interested not only in Christian theology but also in such important issues as ecology.
